BOOK ME

For Events & Cosplay Modeling

Background Daenerys photo: @avhportraits

FUN FACT: I’m a published cosplay model & I spent 5+ years performing professionally!

Before getting into cosplay I was a professional dancer, model, & co-artistic director for a thriving entertainment company in Vancouver, Canada called Zynth Entertainment., and a world class music festival called Shambhala. I have extensive experience working with different events and conventions, and I know how to engage and excite a crowd! Plus I’ve been passionate about making costumes, stage hair & makeup, crafting and sewing for 20+ years. And I started modeling 15+ years ago!

This experience gives me a unique skill set that makes me an ideal fit for cosplay modeling, guest appearances, panels, and performances at conventions and special events.

So let’s connect to co-creative some magic!

Cosplay Photoshoot Info:

I LOVE taking part in cosplay photoshoots — from capturing character-inspired studio shots to creative photos on location. Nothing is more fun to me than working with a talented photographer to create stunning images that truly capture the essence of a character.

So If you're a photographer or fellow cosplayer looking for a cosplay model to work with on your next project, I would be more than happy to collaborate. Just use the contact form on this page to send me a message and let's discuss the details!*

*But first, we need to have the awkward money chat😅…

Here are some notes on my modeling/guest appearance rates:

The vast majority of my photoshoots are TFP (no money is exchanged) with established professional or hobbyist photographers who want to collab on creative cosplay photoshoots that bring us both value and joy. 🥳🙌 The photos are shared on our social media platforms and websites to create community and share our art (audience size doesn’t matter to me, but experience does).

However, there are a very few cases where I may charge for my modeling services (as I have 15+ years experience modeling and professional-level hair and makeup skills. Plus I’ve invested hundreds of hours hand-crafting many cosplays, and thousands of dollars in wardrobe, and makeup).

Here are the instances where I may charge for my cosplay modeling/guest appearance services:

1) You intend to profit directly off the images/appearance, whether that’s through selling prints, uploading them to stock image websites, paid subscription services (example: Patreon), paid magazine submission, event marketing (digital or print), ticket sales, or anything directly commercially related.

In this case, our work would NOT fall under “TFP” terms and a model release contract would need to be drafted and signed once we came to an agreement. My rates for commercial modeling (which include HMU and wardrobe) start at $100/hour—including 2 hours getting ready plus any travel time to and from the location.

2) If you are just starting out or don’t have much of a portfolio (a Zoom meeting is required first, and I may bring my husband or an assistant to the shoot).

In this case, my rates are reduced to $25/hour—including the 2 hours it takes me to get ready, plus any travel time to and from the location (travel fees are waived if the shoot is taking place in Richmond, BC). The reason I need to charge aspiring photographers is because unfortunately quality can’t be guaranteed and I don’t know if I’ll be able to use the photos if you are new or learning. But I do reduce my rates significantly to make them more accessible for you to build your portfolio.

3) You want to shoot a character that I recently photographed (or have shot A LOT of over the years) and I’m not that excited about.

This case is super rare. If it comes up, I will tell you upfront that I’m not interested in a character because I recently photographed them or am planning on selling the cosplay. From there I will usually suggest other TFP characters to choose from that I DO feel excited by. However, if you reeeeeeally have a specific dream character in mind and I’m not that interested, then I may charge a $50 flat rate (which includes getting ready, travel, and shoot time). This makes me feel like my time is being valued which brings the joy back for me.

Alternatively, we can wait awhile to see if I’m ready to shoot that character again for free, but this could be a year+… that is if I don’t decide to sell it before then.

Okay, I think that’s it! Thank you for understanding.🙏🥰

Like I said, the vast majority of my photoshoots are TFP collabs done out of the pure joy of co-creation and passion for the craft! However there are situations where I have to charge for my time and experience and it’s important to talk about that up front… even if it can be a bit awkward.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

(Chances are your situation falls under the TFP umbrella. ☺️)
