Princess Aurora Makeup Reference Video
Below is a video reference to see her in action, and here is a link to my saved Aurora cosplay and makeup reference images on Pinterest.
STEP 1: Prepping Your Skin for Long-Lasting Makeup
Every royal glow starts with skincare! I use micellar water to cleanse and prep my skin. If you're using colored contacts, pop those in before applying your makeup — trust me, your eyes (and your mascara) will thank you later.
Follow up with a moisturizer that includes SPF, then apply a makeup primer to help everything last through your enchanted day.
STEP 2: Creating a Soft, Sculpted Base Like Aurora
Start with a light concealer to brighten your under-eyes, the center of your nose, chin, and forehead. Blend it in gently with your finger or a sponge. Then, go in with your foundation and contour:
Nose contour: Create a lifted, slightly upturned effect with a circle at the tip and contour lines along the sides.
Jaw + cheekbones: Aurora’s face is a bit pointier than mine, so I contour my jawline and cheeks to mimic her elegant angles.
Set it all: Use a translucent pressed powder to keep it matte and natural-looking. Lightly set under your eyes to prevent creasing.
STEP 3: Adding Blush and Highlighter for Aurora’s Radiance
Blush is key to that rosy, fairy-tale look! Use a medium pink blush applied in upward strokes along your cheekbones and beside your eyes. Then, highlight the high points of your face — tip of the nose, cheekbones, and chin — for that enchanted glow.
STEP 4: Shaping and Defining Your Eyebrows
Aurora has soft but defined arches. I used an eyebrow gel to shape mine into a gentle arch, then filled them in with a fine-tip brow pen to enhance the shape — extending slightly at the inner and outer corners.
Tip: If your natural brow shape doesn’t match Aurora’s, you can try the glue-stick-method to block out your brows and draw a totally new brow shape.
STEP 5: Soft Romantic Eyeshadow Inspired by Aurora
Base: Apply a soft shimmery taupe shade all over your lid in an oval shape.
Highlight: Add a shimmery white under the brow and in the inner corners.
Brow bone + lower lash line: Use a creamy neutral shade to bring brightness and unity.
Crease: Blend a wine-toned purple into your crease in a rounded, winged shape.
Outer V: Add a touch of dark brown to deepen the crease and enhance the wing shape.
STEP 6: Lining Your Eyes with a Soft Cat-Eye Shape
Use a black liquid liner to create a classic wing that follows your eyeshadow line — think delicate, slightly extended, and curved for a soft, almond-shaped eye that lifts upwards.
STEP 7: Applying Mascara and False Lashes for Wide, Animated Eyes
Apply a white mascara primer to your top lashes only — this makes your eyes appear bigger and more doll-like. Then go in with black mascara to finish.
For the glam factor: pop on magnetic lashes using magnetic eyeliner, plus a touch of glue for extra hold. (Trust me, they’ll stay put all day!)
STEP 8: Creating Aurora’s Signature Vintage Lip Shape and Color
Overdraw your lips if needed— fuller in the center, leaving a little gap at the corners for a cartoon effect.
Use a matte light coral-red lipstick to fill it in.
Highlight your cupid’s bow and apply a shimmer gloss or balm to the center of your bottom lip for added dimension.
Don’t forget to blot — we don’t want lipstick on our teeth!
STEP 9: Finishing Touches with Setting Spray
Finish with a matte setting spray to blend all the layers and keep your Aurora makeup flawless for longer.
END RESULT:
